Open Water Course

The PADI® Open Water Diver course is your gateway to becoming a certified scuba diver. Under the guidance of an experienced PADI Instructor you will learn to dive in a calm and encouraging environment. By the end of the course you will have the confidence, skills and knowledge to dive anywhere in the world.

Training is split into three phases. First you complete the eLearning module, which covers dive theory and the fundamental skills. You put that into practice during your pool sessions. The final phase is further practice of those skills in open water, supervised by an instructor at all times.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
To do your Open Water course you must be able to swim 200 metres. There is no time limit for this.
How old do I have to be?
Junior Open Water Diver starts at 10 years old. Children from 8 can start in the pool with Bubblemaker and the Seal Team programme.
When do the sessions run?
Open Water course pool sessions run every Friday night from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. Open water dives are conducted on Saturdays and Sundays.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. Site entry, air fills, manual and certification fees are all included in the course price.
