Booking with Dive In
Terms and conditions
These terms apply when you book a course, dive experience or trip with us, online, by phone or in the shop. By booking, you agree to them.
Who we are
Dive In Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 02589112. Our registered office and dive centre is at Gildenburgh Water, Eastrea Road, Whittlesey, Peterborough PE7 2AR. Call us on 01733 351288 or email pauline@divein.co.uk.
Your booking
- Your booking is confirmed when we email you to say so. Please check the details and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
- The price shown with each date is the full price for one person. Where a course has a price for 2 or more people, everyone on a booking for two or more pays that price.
- People booked together are on one booking, with one payment. They are moved, refunded and cancelled together.
Paying
- Online by card. You pay on a secure page run by our payment provider, Dojo. We never see your card details. Your place is held for 30 minutes while you pay. If you do not finish paying, the place is released.
- At the centre. Your place is reserved, and you pay in the shop by card or cash when you arrive, before your course starts.
- By phone or in the shop. We will tell you how to pay when you book.
Cancellations, changes and refunds
We do not give refunds if you cancel. You can move to another date if you tell us at least 48 hours before your course starts. If we cancel a date, we will offer you another date or a refund, less any PADI eLearning you have already been given. Our refund policy has the details and is part of these terms.
Medical fitness
Before you go in the water you must complete a diver medical questionnaire, honestly. Depending on your answers and your course, a doctor may need to sign it. Our medical requirements page explains when.
If you need a doctor's signature, get it before your course. If you cannot, tell us at least 48 hours before the course starts and we will move you to a later date. Without it you cannot dive, and the refund policy applies.
Age
Each course has a minimum age, which you must have reached by the first day of the course. Anyone under 18 must be booked by a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on their behalf.
Safety
- Before you start, you will be asked to complete the training agency's forms, including the medical questionnaire.
- Follow your instructor's instructions. They may stop, shorten or change a dive or a session if they judge it unsafe, for example because of the weather, the water conditions, equipment or someone's fitness to dive.
- You must not dive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Certification
To be certified you need to meet the training agency's standards, and your instructor decides when you have met them. Paying for a course does not guarantee certification. If you need more time, talk to us about finishing on another date.
Trips
You can book a trip online or by phone. Each trip's description says what you pay and when, including any deposit. If you cancel a trip, we cannot refund what you have paid. If we cancel one, you get a refund, unless its description says otherwise.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide your course with reasonable care and skill. Diving carries risks that remain even with careful training and supervision.
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, we are not responsible for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen when you booked, or for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Your information
Our privacy policy explains what we do with the details you give us.
If something goes wrong
Please talk to us first. Call or email us and we will do our best to put it right.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones on this page when you booked.
