Frequently asked questions

Where does tec training take place?
Most training is done at Gildenburgh Water, where site entry and gases (other than helium) are included. Courses can be run elsewhere when the depth or conditions require it.
How long do the courses take?
Most open circuit courses are around three days; the full Tec 40/45/50 programme is about six. Durations vary with the dive sites used and the weather.
What does it cost?
Open circuit tec training is £140 per day, or £120 per day if two or more of you book together. CCR training is £150 per day, or £130 per day for two or more.
Do I need a medical?
Yes. Every tec course needs the medical form signed by a doctor within the last 12 months, even if you answer no to every question. Our medical requirements explain how.
